On 1 December 2008, in Turin was held the conference: "Sustainable development and corporate social responsibility: a new model of business”. Experts from Italy, Bulgaria, Poland, Slovenia, Croatia, Romania and Turkey attended the conference. Each of them was intended to present the current situation in thier country in terms of level of development of corporate social responsibility. Miroslava Dakovska of Balkan Institute for Labor and Social Policy presented the level of development, the stakeholders of the topic, policies and initiatives undertaken in terms of social responsibility in Bulgaria. Host the event was Agency for the Development of Piedmont Region, Turin. The conference is part of the international project "Gateway to Europe", financed by the European Commission under the PHARE program - Support for business in Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia and Turkey.
